COPD is a chronic lung disease that includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both. COPD affects the lungs and causes reduced airflow, which makes it hard to breathe. It is also progressive, which means it worsens over time.
AMR Lexington is currently enrolling volunteers ages 40 to 80 who are current or former cigarette smokers and have been diagnosed with COPD. Qualified participants will receive all study-related medical exams, lab tests and investigational medication or placebo at no cost. Insurance is not required.
Duration: Up to 48 weeks
Number of visits to AMR Lexington: Up to 7 clinic visits and up to 4 phone call visits.
Compensation: Up to $600.00 is available for your travel expenses.
- Volunteers are between the ages of 40 and 80
- Volunteers are previous or current smokers diagnosed with COPD
- Other criteria also apply and will be addressed later in a qualifying questionnaire
